    The Offensive Line Getting Worse?

What's going on with the OL? Seems like they are getting worse. Lots of holding going on. And is it me or is Jake Long becoming a repeat offender

Yeah remember when we were ragging on Sparano for not getting it right in 4 years and how Philbin got it right in one year. Everyone still agree?

Zone blocking scheme with maulers looks bad cause they don't go together.

They will have to replace some guys for sure

I don't think they've played badly at all, to be honest, and i'm not sure why finheaven is up in arms about them. They give up very few sacks, and we've run for almost 1000yds this season despite our poor passing game that makes us one-dimensional. The problem is that teams can load the box against us because we have no deep passing game (safeties never have to double), and even our intermediate passing game stinks.

Pouncey and Martin are def. holdovers. After that, I am not sure anymore.

I agree they have looked horrible and need to get it together, anybody who says they haven't looked bad isn't watching

Martin is still playing like a rookie on a merry go round, and Jerry has never been a guy that can be depended on each week.
Pouncey is the only player that can be counted on.
Cog is not a zone blocking guard. I do like his mean streak though. His positives outweigh the negatives IMHO
Jake is no longer in the same shape that he was when he entered the league. He had freakish mobility for his size.
With age, injury, and reduced conditioning, he is just another above average LT.

So we have an above average left side with a potential pro bowl center attached to a poor fat LG and a 23 year old balsa wood RT turn style.

we need to draft two guards and a tackle after letting Long go. he isn't worth near the money he'll command/demand after being a #1 pick and pro bowls.

    This can't be possible.

Jake Long was the #1 overall pick and a Pro Bowler.

Therefore, he has to have a max contract because it's just not possible for him to get worse.
