    News2 Lakers hire Mike D'Antoni

    The Los Angeles Lakers, in a surprising move, announced Monday morning that they have signed former Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni to replace Mike Brown as head coach.

    I'm just surprised they actually passed on Phil Jackson for him. I bet Phil probably wanted a mint for his services.

    Nash doesn't have the legs he used to have in Phoenix . . . we'll see if that's gonna work.

    yeah he basically wanted the option to not travel for road games (which was negotiable) but he wanted to get the same type of power Pat Riley got from the Heat, meaning the Lakers would have to get rid of Mitch Kupchak
