I'm really hoping I find out something otherwise. Because this really changes my opinion of Ryan Tannehill "the person". I get if you're a retired player. But if you're a rookie and starting in the NFL? WTF? That's Mega-douchey. Why in the hell would you do that?

Local paper has a story about this, basically calling him a "whore":

If he wasn't already doing tons of **** for charity I would understand your displeasure but he and his wife both devote their time so who cares?

Looks like a very generic site so who's to say where the money goes or what Tannehill does with it? If 99% of the other athletes on the site are all old and retired maybe they keep the money for profit, Tannehill may be different. Regardless, I don't really have a gripe with it. His salary is mentioned above as if he's making anywhere close to a guy like Sam Bradford or other rookie QBs from before the rookie wage scale.

Well, I can't quite see it the same way. Every Quarterback in the NFL does charity work, it's sort of an expectation that comes with the job in that city. Again, if he openly states he's doing this for charity - I have no problem. Good on him! If not, this is a class-a douche move in my opinion! You're a starting quarterback in the NFL who just signed a 12 million dollar contract. Do you really need to hooker yourself out for $5000/hr?
