Forgive me if Im late to the party, but a phin site revealed comments from Mike Dee on the logo change. I was especially pleased to read what Marino and Griese said about it.

"Dee said that three people have seen the logo from him personally. Dan Marino and Bob Griese were two of them and he said both former QB’s and Hall of Famer’s said they nailed it. Dee said that the logo will incorporate a little from all versions of the teams logo. He said it would be more modern looking and current while still holding true to the essence of the logo itself. He mentioned the navy blue specifically and said they kept part of that in the logo as well."
