Why does Tannehill only have 6 td's?

He has thrown for a decent amount of yards, and has started all of our games, but only has 6 touchdowns. I wonder why that is? Receivers? For contrast Chad Henne has only 1 less touchdown as a backup. Hopefully we can see a few more touchdowns for tannehill and see some strides!

Not a fair comparison to Henne as he had a once in a lifetime game for himself yesterday. Red Zone offense or lack thereof would be the reason.

Aside from Henne, he is 31st in the league.

Why didn't davone bess look for the ball b4 birds interception during the bills game? Its a combination of inexperience, poor play calling and lack of playmakers.

No real WR that can catch the ball, break tackles and take it in. Once the team gets in the red zone they usually put the ball in on a running play.

Just look at our weapons. While they may get yards between the 20s they are terrible red zone targets. Theres a reason Hartline has only a 4 or so tds in 1592 games. Bess is a slot receiver who can beat his man off the line but isnt a threat in the endzone. Who do we have who can break a tackle and take it to the house? Who do we have that can get seperation in the endzone or go up and get the ball high?

Lets take a look at 2 of the TDs from that Jags Texans game....

The Blakmon 81 yard TD from Henne, it was about a 20 yard throw I believe, Blackmon made a great catch in traffic, the Texans defenders crashed into each other and took each other out of the play and Blackmon was left all alone and took it to the house... so it was a 20 yard pass from Henne and 60 yard run from Blackmon

The 48 yard game winning TD from the immortal Shaub to Andre Johnson, it was literally a 1 yard almost lateral pass on a WR screen that with help from good blocking and the awful Jaguars secondary, went for a TD.... so a 1 yard pass from Shaub and 47 yard run from Andre... goes down as a 48 yard TD pass from Shaub in the stat sheet

Stats as meaningful as they may be, sometimes need to be put into perspective like the "long td passes" above
