The hiring of Philbin and drafting of Tannehill look like good decisions, but will they be enough to save the job of embattled general manager Jeff Ireland? We haven't heard of any "Fire-land" demonstrations of late, which is perhaps promising.

as much as i try to be optimistic, its hard to be now. at 4-6, we really put ourselves in a deep hole.

also, this article is being generous saying '' to even sniff the playoff picture, they need to win 4 of 6''. no way any team is getting in at 8-8, just cant see it.

now there are many teams in the wildcard hunt. u got the leaders being the colts at 6-4 and the steelers at 6-4. the bengals are 5-5, the bills, jets, titans, dolphins, and chargers are all 4-6. we hold tiebreakers over the bengals, but not the colts, and titans, and it is yet to be determined the jets or bills.

i mean i guess technically we r still alive by mathematical standards, but it is going to take a lot for this fins team to make the playoffs, a lot.

fortunately, it has already hit me we wont make it ( as im sure most fans are in the same boat) as to where if we lose say this week vs the seahawks, i will be upset like i am normally but not extremely upset to the point where i feel suicidal after losses ( yes i know its a bit extreme), so expectations are already factored in, meaning if we somehow went on this miracle run, it will make it all the more enjoyable
