Player Tannehill can set another franchise record on Sunday

With 91 yards passing, Tannehill will break Marino's franchise record for rookie passing yards. That will add on to some other rookie franchise records Tannehill has already set:

    Single game passing yardage
    Single season pass attempts
    Single season completions

Total passing yards, single game passing yardage, and single season completions are all good. I've never been a fan of "pass attempt" statistics of any kind, because to me that basically means that the coaching staff called more passing plays than previous coaching staffs.

Phew, 91 yards? I dont know if he'll get it next game but definitely within the next three games. After last week 91 yards seems like a lot.

Then why comment on a stats post for individual players?

Throw for some td's and run for a first down now and then and help the offense.

Amen, he needs to run more instead of looking like a lame duck when the pocket breaks down.

Honestly I do like to hear about his stats and records, but I wish this kind if stuff would translate into victories.

It's an imperfect world. Stats help chart production but they don't all ways tell the whole story. Tannehill has played well for a rookie. Even those comparing him to henne have to be honest and admit tannehill doesn't have a wtf moment in every game. You can't tell me you guys have forgotten waiting with baited breathe everytime henne dropped back to pass. You knew at some point during the game you would be screaming at the tv sayign why did you even throw that.
