    Plaxico good enough for Pitt

Guess he wasn't good enough for the Dolphins, even though our WR corps is worst in the league. How's Gaffney been working out? Heard he finally practiced again.

    Come on man.

    Plaxico? That's what you've got?

The reason that Pittsburgh is signing Plaxico is because they are a legitimate playoff team that could use a few extra pieces. They are bringing him in as a big target for the 3rd / 4th QBs they are going to have to play.

Plaxico doesn't fit this team's long term vision. Would you like to cut Rishard Matthews to sign him?

Really OP? It's pretty obvious he wasn't good enough for a few teams. Stop trying to single out the Dolphins only

    1)They're familiar with each other

    2)Steelers are injury-riddled

3)Pitt is on the cusp of something great

I wonder if he can play QB for them.

Miami was never playing to achieve anything this year. Didn't you get the memo? We were never gonna be a playoff team so why actually try and win games? Why bring in character-issue guys with spotty pasts if you don't care about the value of their contributions on the field? There were other guys before Plax I'd've rather seen get and we wind up Gaffney (who I did stand behind even though it hasn't really worked out).
It'll be interesting to see what Plax has left in the tank.

The problem with Miami and FA wide receivers is that their system seems incredibly complex to teach. The audible/hand-signal system seems to confuse our players a ton more than it confuses the opposition. It took 3 weeks to get Gaffney off the inactive list and then he gets hurt in his third game for us. I doubt Plaxico would've even picked up our system by now and he'd be standing there in the wrong spot while Tanny's pass went to a wide open cornerback.
Mike Sherman's stock is dropping faster than Las Vegas home values.
I pray we get a new GM who brings in real NFL coordinators and a coach who wants to win instead of fielding a team of perfect gentleman losers.

I thumbs upped the thread because the OP does make a valid point. We are one of the most devoid teams in the league in terms of talent and it seems like other teams get better while we stand still. With that being said many others in the thread have good points too for not signing him.

Really this thread is a joke. Yes he was good enough for Pitt but lets not forget how long he was waiting for a job and lets not forget he played there before and 31 other teams did not like him
