    Thoughts On Philbin So Far?

I had a lot of input on Philbin this weekend from South Beach. Most of the young Phans don't like him, saying he is like a teacher from South Park who will not have the respect of players looking for some leadership and emotion.

The older Phans like him, and believe he will do well in setting this ship on the right course by getting rid of problem children, and getting the right type of players.

    Where do you stand?

If things don't get better over the final six games, I could see Ireland gone, and that means Philbin is also probably out. A new GM likely would not keep a coach around that he didn't hire. Just the reality of the situation. I don't think Philbin was given much to work with this year....Ireland traded away Marshall and what did he do to help the offense? NOTHING.

I'm not sure what I think. The last 3 games have me questioning what he is doing, as a former OC and OL coach.

I guess you could consider me one of the "younger" fins fans and I love the guy. I think he deserves at least 2 more years, but obviously that depends on a wide array of variables. I just hate the revolving door we've had at HC (and QB) since 2000.

Some young fans are just dumb. No way can you write him off this early into his head coaching career.

It is kinda strange to see the age thing coming into play, first time I've seen it. The young Phans really hated Philbin in Hard Knocks, saying that he had no balls in dealing with players, and who cares if there is a piece of paper on the field.

Other side was being kind, and professional, to players, and an attention to detail.

From many I have talked to, they do not right him off, just saying that he has to grow a set. lol

Grow a set? I think he showed his tolerance for laziness in agreeing to get rid of V. Davis. That should have let the locker room know, professionalism would be the only acceptable way forward.

The 'younger' fans, are no different in their respects when dealing with anything in life. They for the most part believe in instant gratification.

The local fan base their in Florida are a nice example of what I mean. They for the most part can be fickle and fair weather.
