First and foremost, i am thankful for the family and friends that i have. I am thankful for my country (all politics aside) and the great men and women who defend it.

After that, I am truly thankful for 40 years of being a die-hard Miami Dolphins fan. Through thick and thin. Whether the team has been good or bad is not a factor, it doesn't matter, I am not forced to root for them, I just do. I am absolutely truly thankful that I bleed aqua and orange.

I'm thankful that I still have my sanity after 3+ straight seasons of below average Miami Dolphins football. I am also thankful that we finally may have hope for the future.

Be afraid, Brady. Be very afraid!

I just try to be myself, whatever that is. I don't think about how I'll be remembered. I just want to be consistent over a long period of time. That's what the great players do.

In all seriousness, I am thankful for Finheaven.com. One of the best parts of being a Dolphin Fan is coming here. I love the debates. Some of you guys are brilliantly funny. Others have insight that you should be getting paid for.

Think about as the holiday season comes about donating some money no matter how small to this site to keep it rolling.

God Bless all you guys here...

I'm thankful for the people that still believe in Jeff Ireland. This board wouldn't be quite as funny without them.

I'm thankful that I was able to experience the early '70s teams, and how much they meant to the community. Consequently there's literally no pain or frustration during this era. As long as nobody goes unbeaten I'm happy, from a pro football standpoint. This is the first Thanksgiving without either mom or dad so it's been a strange numbing day.

I don't expect anything in this stadium, from the Dolphins or Canes. I hope I'm still around when we relocate.

The '70s Thanksgiving Dolphin games stand out in memory, the revenge win at Dallas in 1973 and Griese's shocking 6 touchdown game at St. Louis many years later. The Dallas game was methodical and really should have been by greater margin, like the 1972 season Super Bowl. It was tremendously satisfying to defeat Dallas in that era, after what they did to us in the 1971 season Super Bowl. The early '70s Dolphin players emphasized that point repeatedly. That game is overlooked in franchise history.

I thought St. Louis would defeat us. They were something like a 5 or 6 point favorite, and it seemed deserved. The way that game unfolded was astonishing, one of the most surprising wins in team history, given the margin. I would place it alongside the 1980 win at the Rams, when Woodley won big as 14 point underdog.
