Breaking Jason Babin cut by Eagles

Sorry if this was posted already. Thoughts? You can never have enough pass rushers.

He would be great across from Wake. Sign him to a decent deal and see how he plays with our Dline

No. He needs the wide nine and good defensive back play to get to the quarterback. Maybe a team that plays that scheme will have interest. He isn't a fit for the Dolphins, IMO.
He only started the wide nine last year. The year before in a 4-3 he had 12.5 sacks - non wide nine. Also, the wide nine only proves the DE's need to have speed as they are further from the QB, so it proves he has that. It would definitely help the rotation
I believe any man's finest hour - his greatest fulfillment to all he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle...Victorious

Yea, as previously stated. He is a system player. All of his success has come in the WIDE 9 and with a single DLine coach. He has been released or not re signed at all his previous stops.

But it figures on FH, people love the name.

The TITANS ran the wide nine.

Babin across from Wake would likely mean Jared Odrick moves back inside and Soliai or Starks is gone.. Interesting. I'm not sure Miami will bite

if he clears waivers and he agrees to come in for cheap with no up front money as a situational pass rusher, why not?

He has 54 sacks over a 9 year career. 36 of those sacks came in the last 3 years while playing in the Wide 9. Also, when he can't get to the QB he is useless because he doesn't play well against the run.
