So we lose the next two games and finish 7-9, do we keep...

...JEFF IRELAND. I think you should use the same criteria for firing head coaches and that is winning seasons. If Sparano could be fired for not winning, Jeff should be fired for the same reason. I mean the guy has only one winning season in five years as a GM. Can't even draft to beat the best team in his division.

I remember Don Shula days, the Buffalo Bills were menacing Miami and Shula drafted to bet them. He drafted Richmond Webb and keith Simms to keep Bruce Smith in check. When asked after the draft, he said "you have to draft to beat the best team in your division." The Bucs drafted to beat the saints, and the Ravens drafted to beat the Steelers. You have to beat your division rival first and it all starts from how you draft.

That said, look at all the games Miami has lost this season, they are mostly AFC teams. WE have absolutely no advantage over any AFC team in the hunt for playoffs.

Lastly, are you going to trust this guy with $60million of cap money considering his records on free agents, SERIOUSLY???

Nope. He's gotta go even if they win out.

Not if it means the new guy doesn't agree to retain Philbin and his staff which is at this point of much more importance now that Philbin is obviously influencing the draft picks.

It's hard to tell. Will JI get better in time? Will his past mistakes make him a better drafter in the future? Who knows, but I know I want Joe here. The young asst. GM in GB is very intriguing. He would kind of complete the circle of Green Bayness in Miami. But he'd HAVE to keep Joe.
And to the op, yes we do have an advantage on our team over the other AFCE teams- Brandon Fields, lol.

    Thank you Don!

Probably. As much as it sucks, drafting Tannehill bought him a few more seasons most likely unless we lose out.

Ireland will likely be back regardless of the outcome of the final 5 games.
