I saw Eli overthrow Cruz but the cool thing is that the Giants came back to it until it worked. He just hit Cruz for a 50 yd. gain. We need to go deep more often and I would try to hit Matthews early like on our opening drive to loosen up the D and try to get them to play honest. I would keep coming back to it until we hit it. Why not?

We don't have a receiver as good as Cruz. Tannehill hasn't shown much accuracy on deep passes anyway.

By the way Tannehill throws a very good deep ball when he can set his feet and fire it. See the perfect ball to Charles Clay on 2 different TD passes. There are many other examples but you'd have to be watching Dolphin games.

The passes to Clay were nice but I wouldn't call them deep passes.
