He protected the **** out of Brody at times. He wanted Carrie blown up because she is good at the job and he fears her. Thats why he either wanted her in that higher position(keep your enemies close) or completely gone. He gave the go ahead to shoot Nazir but, he knew damn well someone would warn him, likely Brody. Also, he wouldnt have been horribly upset if Nazir had been killed back then. Saul isnt just a mole, he is a head muslim ****ing terrorist. He ranks way higher than Abu ****ing Nazir.

Yeah Im up to date on Homeland. Still working on Mad Men. To me, Mad Men is entertaining when I watch it, but I never really think about being excited to see the next episode. Its just a nice time killer. Sons of Anarchy, Breaking Bad, Justified, The Shield...those are shows that have you all Bart Scott for some free time so you can see what happens next.

Many groups wanted him dead. He pissed a lot of people off towards the end. He tried to end Vietnam before it could start, he issued executive orders for the Treasury to start printing real money again and bypass the Fed, the mob wanted him dead for his connections to the Irish mafia, Johnson wanted him gone to be President, etc.

I always heard that the mob whacked him because he had promised to keep heat off them in return for help getting elected and then reneged on the deal. No idea how factually accurate that is.

I do remember reading once that Sam Giancana got mysteriously murdered shortly before he was set to testify in an enquiry on supposed CIA connections to the assassination of Kennedy. That whole thing is just so thick with questions that I doubt we every really find out for sure what exactly happened.
