Player Dolphins practice report: Jonathan Martin replaces Jake Long at LT

As expected, Dolphins rookie tackle Jonathan Martin was lined up as the first-teamer on the left side Wednesday, replacing the injured Jake Long (triceps).
Also as expected, Nate Garner was lined up as the first-team right tackle, replacing Martin, who flips sides.
That’s how the Dolphins played the final three quarters of last week’s 23-16 loss to New England. It’s likely how they’ll open this week at San Francisco against the NFL’s second-best defense.
Offensive coordinator Mike Sherman likes what he’s seen from Martin, the second-round pick from Stanford.
“A young man like that just out of college and already having played both sides of the line and being thrown over there in the middle of the game speaks volumes of what he's all about,” Sherman said.

If he gets stronger we may have a quality LT.

Martin needs to hit the weight room early and often this off season. It's really the only thing he needs (strength)
Only the Dolphins would have a Chicago Bears Ballboy as their GM

Offer Jake Long a right tackles worth deal, it's not like he needs any more money after being the number 1 overall. plus, who's going to give him a ludicrous contract anyways, he hasn't been healthy for like 3 yrs now and it's starting to show in his play.

Worst game Martin had was @ Buffalo. Mario Williams bull rushed him all night. If he gets stronger he could be a stud.

Long will have no problems getting huge cash fron another team. He wont stay here on a low contract.
