Top 10 worst run states in America per 24/7 Wall St. Based on many factors including debt per capita, % w/out healthcare, % under poverty, and % of unemployment.

Blue States: California, Illinois, Michigan, Rhode Island
Red States: Arizona, South Carolina, Kentucky, Louisiana
    Purple States: New Mexico, Nevada

So lets go back to your statement. "Look at most of the struggling states and municipalities in the country and you will find something in common, they vote democrat."

Well out of the 10 worst run states, 4 are red, 4 are blue, and 2 are neutral. That sure doesn't seem like most to me.
Kentucky state control is democratic, believe its been close to century the last time republicans had the house. Louisiana had been blue dominated until very recently...a little ahead of the curve of Mississippi and Alabama with Republicans getting control for the first time in over a century in the last election for both those states.

One problem: Detroit isn't a state.

Arguing about red and blue states might apply if the entire state of Michigan is in the same dire financial situation.

Are there many major metropolitan areas that aren't blue?

If nothing else, many of the voters in Detroit could claim to have been former farmers who suffered discrimination.

LOL....did anyone say anything in your opinion?

If he didn't would it be any less true?

It's not particularly relevant what Franklin thought one way or another. But is it really too much to ask that you quote something he actually said?

I don't know how you got to "probably didn't say this" from the link. Nowhere does it deny he said it, it merely said the scholars who looked on google couldn't prove he did, which conversely means they could not prove he didn't. And another man saying a similiar quote is hardly a damning defeat to Ben. Really....that's the best you got?

Is it really too much to ask that you stop trying to deflect and change the focus of the argument over the trivial matter of whether or not someone may or may not have made a statement widely attributed to them, especially when said speaker created a whole volume of sayings (Poor Richards Almanac) that borrowed sayings liberally from the bible and atheists alike.
Whether he said it or not, the veracity remains.

And what Hunter Thompsons quotes relevancy to this particular debate is im sure nobody, including you, has a clue.

Actually, whether he said or not, the veracity remains the same. Meaning, an opinion and nothing more.

And what Hunter Thompsons quotes relevancy to this particular debate is im sure nobody, including you, has a clue.
It doesn't have anything to do with it. I just like it. The whole point behind this thread is kind of dumb, anyway. I mean, someone linked to breitbart.com in here somewhere. If that's not a clue that a full measure of stupid has been introduced, nothing is.

Now youre just being obtuse. PressCoverage had snarky and smarmy down way better than you. Pseudointellectual non-responses fail to impress. If you don't want to participate in the debate, better to remain silent than yip and yap like an overexcited chihuaha adding nothing to the discussion

Hey Monkey-man this is the 3rd time you've been on my threads. Can we just put that wussy ignore thing to rest?
