Sweetness was the man but Sanders was my favorite. Great runners.

you people do remember marino handing off the ball dont you? he couldnt sell a fake to save his life at the end...I loved the man, he was my childhood hero, but lets be honest, when jimmy got there he should have drafted moss and let dan throw it...
Waiting on the Fins and their fans to realize you need to score points to win the games. Draft OFFENSE not defense.

    Was watching a football life.

Jimmy Johnson had a "Herschel Walker" type of trade.

The lions wouldn't because they wanted to him to play for them or nobody.

    marino and sanders... Man we could've won't 2-3 SB's.

always what ifs I know... Didn't know till now watching that phins were really
    pusing to get him
Dan was at the end of his career when Jimmy Johnson came on board, if it was Herschel walker type deal you wouldn't have had enough talent outside of an old, former great QB and a great RB.

    Marino & Sanders!?
How amazing would that have been to watch!?

It really is a shame what Detroit did to him. Even if he wouldn't have ended up in Miami, it would have been fun to watch him play for a few more years, just for the highlights!
A good friend will come and bail you out of jail...but, a true friend will be sitting next to you saying, "Damn...that was fun!"

does it matter? barry took the lions to the playoffs with absolutly nobody on that team. give me a break. marino still could have done damage with no name wrs with barry in the backfield

Those Lions teams were underrated, they had some talent on O. obviously Barry was by far the best player and his presence opened things up but they had some talent. I think Miami would have made the playoffs but I doubt they would have won SBs if they brought Barry in during the late 90s.

Arguably the best RB in NFL history. Wonder why more RBs dont emulate his style.
