The 49ers have a savy front office, Miami's front office not so much.

Savvy? Hardly. Up until last season they had gone a decade without a winning record, no playoffs since 2002...sound familiar?

“They’re an inspiration,” Ireland said. “They’ve got a good defense, a really good offensive line. They’ve got a new leader [Jim Harbaugh]. They needed new leadership and a new inspiration. That’s what you aspire to be. That’s what we would like to be next year.”
Gives only 2 bullet points about the way that team is built, and Im not surprised at whats bolded. Our GM is simply obsessed with the o-line. 1st round left tackle confirmed.

That's kind of what I took from it too.

49'ers are a classic example of what happens when you have a good general manager. Didnt matter how bad Nolan or Singletary were, the talent on that roster eventually rose to the top. Its not a coincidence that they went to the NFC championship game the minute they got a good coach. Its also not a coincidence that Miami has a losing record despite hiring a good coach.

I will remember you TeddSlimmJr and Spesh, after we win it all, I'll just sit back and laugh with fond memories of my superior football IQ.

It's hilarious that one of two things he points out is "offensive line."

This guy will never get it.

The truly sad thing is that despite his obsession, our o-line is mediocre at best and will need to be addressed again this offseason. How many o-line picks have we spent since Ireland came on board?
