I know were all bummed about pretty much being knocked out of the playoff hunt but lets remember we are 2 missed FG's from being 7-5 so things are not all that bad. I just hope Ireland knows wtf he is doing this offseason.

Excuses. Every team can look back and say they should have won more games than they did. We need to finish off opponents more consistently so we don't say the same thing every year.

We could also say we are 2 missed FG's from 3-9

Cincy missed one in the 4th that made them need a TD at end of game. Had they made it they probably kick a FG at end of game to win.
The RAM missed a FG at the end of game that would have sent the game to OT and possible loss.

Any team can say the just about the same thing.

I love these threads.

People always look back and talk about the games that we "almost won."

They talk about the couple of things that we could have done to be 7-5 right now.

No one ever goes back and talks about the games that we could have lost that would make us a 3 or 4 win team had we lost those games that we pulled out.

No one talks about the three wins against the Bengals, Rams and Seahawks that were won by a combined total of 10 points. What if those three teams had done "a couple of things differently" and we lost those games?

That's why we have five wins right now. Because we're a five win team. We're not a six win team...we're a five win team.

**** that!!! We were beaten by Buffalo a team that could not carry our jockstraps last season and Embarrassed by the Titans. We have the same Christmas list we had last year. Time to chop the HEAD off.

What we are are 2 wins from 7 and 5. You could say we are two or three overthrown passes, or fumbles, or interceptions too. It doesn't matter, we are what our record says we are, no more, no less...no excuses.

And we lost to the pats who are 9-4

so we are 5-7 and 6 points away from being 7-5 AND THE TEAMS THAT BEAT US BY A FIELD GOAL SUCK...what does that say to you? To me it says that we are the top of the BAD teams in the NFL like we have been since pete S missed his damned field goal vs the chargers...
