If he was missing these throws early in the game id agree with you. The fact that he threw 6 straight incompletions and missed bess wide open for a TD late, with the game on the line, tells me its something else
He does not suck, but does have a lot to learn about the QB position.

His solution to crunch time is to throw deep, whether or not a guy is open. We've seen it against the Jets and now we see it against the 49ers. I don't care how much "talent" he has, he is piss poor at doing what he needs to do in the 4th quarter and that is why he is merely Chad Henne with better throwing capability and mobility, but not winning ability.
Seriously.. Tannehill had a good game today. We need a legitimate number 1 reciever.. it's as simple as that. I liked especially how he wasnt afraid to try the deep ball.. most of them were perfectly thrown. Quit complaining.
