Are you kidding? That Kaepernick play was one of the most exciting and memorable plays of the season, at least from a betting perspective. I've already heard plenty of stories from friends who were in various sportsbooks. They said the roof blew off. The one play changed not only the spread but the total. It went from Dolphins and under to 49ers and over. Total was 39.

It was the last thing the sportsbooks wanted because the other two late games (Seattle/Arizona and Giants/Saints) had the identical result -- favorite and over. Recreational bettors love favorite and over. When they are buried in the early games they'll make last minute parlays on the late games. Tons of guys hit a 6 team parlay because of that Kaepernick play.

Yaa. I find myself fast forwarding when the D is on the field after Miami scores because I know it's going to be an 8 minute drive with lots of 3rd down conversions that ends up in a FG or a TD. Not only is the O predictable, the D is too. The team has pretty much given up if they're not ahead so playing the over on the punching bag Dolphins is a pretty good bet.

Is there anything in your post that refers to real football? I could care less about betting.

    Betting is real football.

Much better than that fantasy stuff that the kids play. Spend four months trying super hard to win $100 and have neighborhood bragging rights.

    Ugh.

Losing to the Knicks is unacceptable.

Heat are playing as poorly as the Dolphins right now.
True and it hurts, but you know the talent and the will is above and beyond with the heat. You need those types of losses to propel you in the regular season to remind the team that its important to prepare for the playoffs. I can recall so many stupid games like losing to john lucas @ chicago or say golden state every year for no reason. No worries. Now this dolphin team, yes worries.

(On Miami sports teams being popular)

-“That’s not competition,” LeBron said. “That’s like you rooting for your family members. That’s not competition at all. It would be great to have him, but we’ll see.”

Jeff ireland has plagued this team with bad karmas with his "is your mom a prostitute Nonsense", its a shame what has happened to this one proud franchise.
This team seems like it's cursed, and the latest version was Parcells and his cronies... including Ireland. BUT, I simply cannot see why people are upset with Ireland over the Dez Bryant question. If a kid says that his dad is a pimp and his mom works for his dad, isn't it logical to assume his mom is a prostitute? I think so. Why all the fuss over this? As a kid, I grew up poor in a housing project and saw families with the moms and/or daughters being hookers. This was nothing out of the ordinary; there was no uproar over it. My problem with it was that these people never looked for a real job, but just kept pumping out generation after generation of welfare cheats. Ireland was investigating this kid as a possible draft pick, and had every right to ask this question as a lot of money was at stake. I wish more teams would do the same to help keep low-life scum out of the league. I'm not specifically targeting Bryant here; I'm talking about not letting criminals, gang-bangers, junkies, racists, and all sorts of trash into the NFL.

Unfortunately, the NFL (like Hollywood) is in the entertainment business, so money always trumps morals.

I have found that the only way to survive being a Dulphin fan is to have a second and possibly third favorite team.
