Evaluation Time - Philbin should start Moore then Devlin (the following weeks)

    Hey Guys,

I watched the 49ers game and it just seems we just keep shooting ourselves in the foot with turnovers.

If its not one things it's another.

After Ryan Tannehill's 5 straight in-completions in the drive, to set up a possible tie the game scenario, we give the 49ers the ball back with 4 mins left in the game, I had to turn the TV set off. So I am not even sure how the 49ers scored another TD, I haven't looked yet, but it was either a long pass or long run?

I believe Coach Philbin should start Matt Moore next weekend and then Pat Devlin the following weekend and then play the best player of these two on the last weekend.

Do I think Coach Philbin will do it, probably not, because if either of these guys shine, it may magnify Ryan Tannehill's short comings.

In my opinion, a good reason to do it on these next games is because they will be meaningless games and why not evaluate these 2 decent QB's. Secondly, why expose Ryan Tannehill to injury, that may carry over to next year.

Our offensive production has regressed considerably.

    What do you guys think?

    d-1

Why in the world would you ever start moore or Devlin at this point in the season?

I couldnt disagree more. For one, Matt Moore started pretty much all of last season so why do we need to evaluate him again? Philbin has probably watched every game last season and has probably seen every moore snap. Theyre close production wise, we know what we have in matt moore, so why hand the reigns to a guy whose already reached his not high enough ceiling? As for devlin, the coaches watch this guy everyday in practice. He went undrafted and has been a longshot to even secure the backup job. I just dont see the point of sitting our rookie qb who the FO has miami fans believing is the future for a lesser talent. Rookie quarterbacks always have tough games. Andrew luck completed less than 50 percent of his passes today and threw 2 picks.

Also, we just played san franciscos nasty ass d with a guy who is about to break the nfl record for sacks with our LT hurt. Im pretty sure qbs have struggled against them this year.

This thread is sooo stupid I am really lol right now..why in the hell would you bench your 1st round pick who needs all the starts he can get for some backups??? These posts are some of the most unreal I have seem on this board in a while.lol I believe you all think 49ers have been winning games by mistake! Smh is literally all I can do at some fans..we all want to win and I about popped a blood vessel after colins 58 yard run,BUT I see the bigger picture, most only see the results at hand.why did we get a new coach?draft a QB? Oh yeah..because the ones before were mediocre! You wanted a rookie QB to start, you will get rookie results especially with the skill position players...and against a top 3 defense!
