If you mean parent interest and quality I agree,. As far as $ value, we spend more than any of the other large comparable sized countries on education for k-12. And definately more than others for higher...as the site members with huge student loans will attest. Ok, I know its percentage of GDP right? Thats 3rrd behind France and UK...although others behind us 3 state the only reason we have to spend more is our larger immigrant populations...as high as 25% of students in UK. LOL, but of course when you try to factor this into results, thats just silly of us.

We just spend things on things that dont help students.
Our school district is in the hole with money and they spent a million dollars that they had on ipads for administration. .
That's exactly what I mean, actually. Our lab at the university definitely doesn't lack for anything we need. I wish more money would go our way instead of to the football program, which is a disaster, but it's just nitpicking. But it gets frustrating when you see some people who devalue it because science teaches evolution instead of creationism. It gets frustrating watching conservatives mouthpieces call colleges liberal brainwashing facilities, which leads to some families not sending their kids to get educated. It's a trend that needs to reverse...
