Sorry to kill your buzz, but it’s still a federal crime to possess marijuana smoking paraphernalia, Federal Laws trump State Laws, therefore smoking marijuana in Colorado and Washington for non-medicinal purposes is still illegal.

That's the classic states' rights vs federal government argument. We'll see how it plays out.

Oh come on Stat. I know you're just as happy as I am about this. You're a conservative which means you believe in smaller government, more freedom, and states rights.

Don't care about the feds. This is our right as a state. They can jump off a bridge for all I care.

Until they show up on a raid.

The feds aren't everywhere to police random usage. In my state the local LEOs are ignoring federal laws.

The problem of legal (by state law) medicinal dispensaries being raided by the feds was an ongoing problem. The state finally advised many and coerced others to shut down to avoid being raided by the feds.

I doubt I am as excited as you are about this (mainly because I find the pot-smoking community to be incredibly annoying), but I am big into State’s rights. That being said, Federal Law still trumps State Law so until you can get the Federal Law changed saying that marijuana is legal in Washington and Colorado is a very misleading statement.

What does it mean that you find the pot smoking community annoying? Its not like they look or act any differently than anyone else. Its not 1960 anymore. Every pot smoker doesnt dress weird and spread STDs. For the most part, youd never know a person smoked weed unless they told you.

    HELLO?!?!

They all wear dreads and loose/drab clothes,. I thought this was common knowledge. I think to be honest though more people would be shocked to know who smokes/doesn't if they were told.

That's cool for CO, hopefully the Feds don't **** with you guys. The only reason I want it legal is for convenience. I'm in Florida, never happening here although they would clean up on a lot of these old folks down here. What else do they have to do?

I actually think the bar scene is much more annoying.
