Dont worry about them beating us, because that is completely inevitable. Worry about them beating us by a 40 point margin

if carpenter makes a field goal against the cards we might have had a shot, but what would be the point of making it to the play-offs?.... just more disappointment.

Now I know the Dolphins virtually have no chance to make the playoffs. Hell they don't deserve to be based on the performances over the season. But to think that an 8-8 team could be in the playoffs hurts even more knowing that the dolphins let so many games slip away. (Jets, Cards, Colts, Bills) if they would have won 2 of those games, they could have been in the driver seat. Now for those who are in the hunt for the wildcard (even the dolphins, pretty mind blowing actually) here are the schedules.

Bengals has: eagles, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore. I can see them losing two of those games.
Pittsburgh has: Dallas, Bengals, and Cleveland. They can also lose two games.

Jets are irrelevant. They will find a way to lose like they always do. I know some of you might think that there is no way Bengals and Pittsburgh will lose 2 of the next 3 but anything is possible in this wacky NFL season. Now i mind you that is not a dolphin playoff hope thread. I am just so frustrated that we had let so many opportunities slip away. I just hope we can turn it around next year. If an 8-8 team does make it to the playoffs, it will be disheartening to say the least.

Huh? I get the jealousy but in playoff apps the last decade the Jets are 5th in the AFC I believe so that would counter your "lose liek they always do" nonsense.

it's better than 1 playoff app and ZERO playoff wins, right?

I am actually rooting for the Jets to make it to the playoffs. This ensure they keep Rex and Sanchez. It also gives them a worse draft pick and I will enjoy watching them get swatted around once the regular season is over.

why would you want to ensure we keep finishing ahead of you?

I know we are not going anywhere this year; knew it since the season started. Don't care about missing the playoffs this year-rookie HC, rookie QB, new systems, etc...
The Jets on the other hand, have their superstars in their prime, with an established coach and system and yet they still seem to regress every year. Do you actually think the Jets will go anywhere in the playoffs? And the other reasons are mentioned in my previous post.

you guys keep talking like that as new teams make the playoffs every year, keep hanging on to that antiquated 5+ year plan, it may pay off if you hop in a Delorean.

if we are regressing going from out of the playoffs to the playoffs I'll take that type of regression. we regressed one year, after 2 title game apps.
