smith doesnt have the mental makeup. in other words....he is a poozy. He peeks in and gets burned and cant tackle for shizoozle. His contract year....he blew it. time to move on.

Yea thats it, let Sean Smith walk and be in a position to find a FS and atleast 2 or 3 CB's . . . while still needing a pass rusher, 2 or 3 WR's, 2 new guards, a LT, TE . . . do you really think we are hitting on all of these FA's and draft picks?

Sean Smith at worse is a #2 CB and he has flashed as a guy who has shown he can play at a #1 level, just still a bit inconsistent . . . but damn we put ourselves in this position when we traded Vontae and his cheap contract. We would be damn fools to let Sean Smith go when this is a weak CB class in FA and no guarantees we hit in the draft on a CB.

I actually think Sean Smith is the #1 priority right now . . . we can't afford to lose our best CB at this time.
Sad state of affairs to sell Sean Smith hard as our best QB. Problem is that you are right and probably can't afford to let him go given all the other needs on this team.

He is a very flawed corner that is terrible in space and has god awful ball skills, but yes....that's the best we got and we really would be hard pressed to go into offseason looking for TWO corners among all our other needs.

This team must concentrate on OFFENSE this upcoming offseason. PERIOD. From WRs to TE to LG to RT. All are musts. Tannehill can not go through another season with the trash he has to use.
Think I agree with this on a bunch of different levels. Team needs to be able to score points to win in the regular season, team needs offensive weapons to help the quarterback develop, and the offense can't be more boring than watching paint dry if Ross hopes to fill the stadium.
Me say come, Mister Fisher man, show me da contract
Daylight come and Jake Long go home

An' it's six mil, seven mil, eight mil bunch
Daylight come and Jake Long go home

I'm not to sure we should go all O on the draft. We are very lucky to have only face 2 elite or top 10 QBs this season once we face more teams like that (which we will next year) we might seriously get torch with a mediocre number 1 CB (smith)and garbage number 2 cb, no pass rush outside of wake and mediocre FS.

Offer Sean Smith a "reasonable" contract, take it or leave it. Definitely keep R. Marshall. Clemons could be upgraded, and get a CB in FA, that needs to happen. Draft a replacement for Clemons and use him this year until he loses the job. That is what I think needs to happen
    They already cut Richard Marshall.

We also have to gut the receiving corps.

Anybody who wants to keep Sean Smith obviously hasnt watched may of the games this season. The guy cant cover anybody and I have seen midget league players hit harder and tackle better than him. He plays scared out of his mind. Any WR that puts hands on him can block him and drive him backwards 10-12 yds. He is a joke. Let him go!!!!

    ,

Sean Smith's problem is in his head. He has a very low IQ. He can't catch because most of his brain power is going to looking at whose going to hit him, where he's going to run after he catches it, and how he's going to celebrate.
