Geno Smith seems right up Chan Gailey's alley. They know they won't win with Fitzpatrick, so why not?

I doubt Gailey is going to be around to draft him. I'd wait to see what the new regime looks like before speculating between Geno and Barkley. No way they don't go QB, though...

If I could take your pain and frame it, and hang it on my wall,
maybe you would never have to hurt again...

It's amazing that Chan Gailey is probably still going to be there after this year.
But I think Matt Barkley might be their cup of tea.

Pick #012: DE Bjoern Werner, Florida State
Pick #022: WR Cordarrelle Patterson, Tennessee
Pick #054: TE Travis Kelce, Cincinnati
Pick #082: FS Shamarko Thomas, Syracuse
Pick #174: CB D.J. Hayden, Houston
Pick #204: OG Hugh Thornton, Illinois
Pick #206: TE Joseph Fauria, UCLA
Pick #208: QB Peter Lalich, California (PA)
I don't think either Smith or Barkley are worth trading up for. I don't think KC will give up the #1 pick, they'll use that on the signal caller they think is the man (my moneys on Smith). Going by current order then they'll have to jump Arizona most likely to get Barkley.
I bet they regret not trying to get involved last year with the stronger QB class coming out. I personally think they should wait until the second round to get one of the Tyler's.
Going to be alot of trading up this draft. Especially with QB's not getting these fat contracts or any rookie for that matter.
As another poster mentioned before, it seems draft picks are now in high demand and are no longer a dreaded slot for being in the top 5 or 10.
Geno Smith, Matt Barkley, Tyler Wilson. All 3 will go top 10 through trade ups. Geno Smith to KC, Barkley to Jax (Gabbert experiment is over), Wilson to Arizona.
2nd round I see EJ Manuel, Landry Jones, Tyler Bray and Aaron Murray coming off the board. I see Raiders looking for a young signal caller to possible take over Palmer, Eagles could be looking for competition for Nick Foles since Vick will be gone, Bills will be looking for a QB, Jets maybe?

I'd expect to see Logan Thomas get taken this draft as well, I'd say rd 4 or so. He reminds me a bit of Foles with a lot of skills and little success.
I dont see a franchise QB in this draft at all....

Inspired by no other than Ben Violin
Although, I do think Tyler Wilson will end up having the best career out of all the QB's.
Tyler Bray and Logan Thomas both, IMO, have the most upside of them all.
I think slowly we are witnessing the NFL is a Mob as its amazing how Ireland is still going to be a GM after 4 LOSING seasons and 5 failed years and how Millen was the Lions GM for years and how Morono still gets a job etc.
