Interesting John Elway talks QB's, Peyton Manning, Andrew Luck. RGIII, but no Ryan Tannehill

Just listened to the John Elway interview talking about the success Peyton Manning has had making his comeback , why Elway believed in him and so on and why they went after him.
Of course Elway answered his hard work ethic and Manning's love for the game and the Doctors advice that he would make recovery 100%.

Then he was asked about the success of Andrew Luck specifically and how he compared to Andrew Luck in his rookie year and Elway said there was no comparison to him in his rookie year and that it goes to show how high schools and colleges have players more advanced today and ready to play in the NFL today. He mentioned RGIII in making his point and never even mentions Ryan Tannehill.

What's strange is if Manning is never injured and the Colts had a decent record, then Manning is never traded, the Bronco's have Tebow, someone else drafts Andrew Luck and everything changes.

It's interesting hearing at the start of the season Tannehill's name being mentioned in the same sentence as Luck, RGIII by all these experts at the beginning of the season, and the fact that Tannehill played wide receiver and knows exactly where ball placement needs to be, but we're not hearing that now are we.

That's Luck for you, many predicted Manning would land here, but history and John Elway changed all that.

It makes sense now, Peyton didn't want to face Tom Brady 3X a year, so he went to a weak division......!

Really grasping at straws here man...

I doubt Elway has seen a Dolphins game all year. Luck and RGIII have been on a few primetime games and they get most of the media attention due to their draft position and hype. And yes, they have performed better than Tannehill. As such, it makes sense that Elway would discuss the 2 most talked about rookies in the last decade. Not sure what you are trying to do with this thread other than to continue to dump on our rookie QB.

Stop looking at it as a Dolphin fan and ask yourself why should Tannehill be talked about right now? For what ever reason you want to give he has not been very good. If and when he starts to produce like the others mentioned, he will be talked about.

Its pretty simple, you win people talk about you... when we were winning in the beginning of the year, Tannehill was getting alot of attention. But the truth is he does not deserve the praise that luck and rgiii are getting albeit due to the lack of wr's etc.... Rgiii and Luck have 18 td passes this year!! not including the rushing tds.... Tannehill has 8 tds!!! I hope Tannehill becomes the qb we all want him to be but as of right now its just hope

Not sure what the importance of having Elway talk about Ryan Tannehill is for us

Hearing the interview I felt Elway would mention Tannehill and I'm not knocking Tannehill, I just felt he should have rode the bench in his first season and if we struggled with Moore toward the end bring him in.

At this point it really doesn't matter. I hope he plays well against the Jaguars.
