Let me ask you a question, because I think it is obvious to everyone in this thread that yourself and a few others that are backing Saban are Alabama Alum..

Let's pretend that it is January 8th and Saban is giving a day after press conference following the victory/loss to Notre Dame. He is asked if the rumors are true that he is looking at becoming the Browns head coach, he strongly denies it and reiterates his commitment to Alabama. Now on January 9th or 10th Saban gives another press conference, however this one just happens to be in Cleveland, Ohio as he is being introduced as the Browns new head coach. Would the blind Bama sheep just smile and wish him well, or would there be some anger or "butt hurt" as you put it? How would you react after two or three likely failed years with the Browns he returns to the SEC, this time as the Auburn Tigers head coach. How does that sound?
    (1) Auburn is a bad example....It's not a step up,like Alabama was a step up over Miami.
(We can fill up a large stadium.)
    (2) 3 Possible titles in 6 years...after what we went though with that idiot Shula...Saban has done his job...What more could you ask for?
    (3) Like LSU before us,,After Nick left,Les Miles, using the same procees kept LSU in the National picture...Kirby Smart will do the same.
    (4) Nick is only going to coach for about five more years...he is 61 now....rebuiding a pro team and then coming back to college..well....there isn't enough time.
    (5) I would say "Thanks Nick...Great Job!"
(6)Everybody on this board knows I went to Bama,so the word sheep doesn't fit.
That only goes for people following a failed idea six years later.
(7)Shut your dirty whore mouth when you speak of the Capstone.
(8)Bama going for it's 3rd title in 6 years...Miami has missed the playoffs for the 10th
time in eleven years...and you guys still talk about Saban....So who's the Wolf and who is
    the sheep?...you silly sweater.

    1. College stadiums will always be able to pull more than NFL stadiums. Just how it has always been. Doesn't mean that the Alabama job is a step up than the Dolphins job. Saban wasn't a NFL caliber coach and he took off when it got tough for him.

    2. The truly legendary head coaches have stuck with their team for multiple decades. Saban is always looking to go somewhere else after just a few years. How about Saban finally show some long term loyalty to one franchise/university instead of flirting with the next pretty girl.

    3. Good for LSU?

    4. I am sure he can fit a pro job and another college job in during a 5 year span. He is good at jumping around. You still haven't pick up on that?

    5. Doubt it.

    6. So you are an Alabama Alum. Should I be impressed? What did you major in? Banjo? Overall sewing? Did you learn how to deep fry a squirrel?

    7. I will say whatever I want about Alabama.

    8. Remind me the next time Alabama and the Dolphins play against each other. College and the NFL are two different animals. There are no Western Carolina or Western Kentucky's on a NFL schedule.

Engineering....my family's steel business did the modifications on the Orange Bowl in the 70's..hence why I'm a Dolphins fan.

Sorry..but Miami IS the Western Carolina of the NFL.

Alabama fans have been through what Dolphins fans went through with Saban, except much, much worse. I remember when Dennis Franchione left in the middle of the night to take the Texas A&M job.... literally... left in the middle of the night. There was a time when Franchione's feet couldn't touch pavement in the state of Alabama or he would've had to deal with some trouble from some lunatic fan. I still don't care for him, but I don't hate the guy or try to waste too much time judging him like Dolphin fans do with Saban. Nobody is in a position to do so. Nobody that I know defends Saban because he's Alabama's coach just because they're an Alabama fan. We've always defended him with facts. Period. Just like the guy who wanted to change his handle on here because he didn't like the name he had chosen, Saban realized he wasn't happy in the NFL, and his family wasn't happy in Miami. He only accepted the job in the first place after denying Huizenga at least a half dozen times to begin with.... but Wayne wouldn't quit or accept no for an answer. It was never going to work. Especially when Saban realized he couldn't even hire the coaches he wanted despite being promised "full control". The bottom line is that both sides made mistakes, and the fact that it didn't work out falls on both sides. We can literally discuss every single issue one by one again like we've done several times already, but there would be no point. Nobody is required to like Nick Saban. However, he deserves more slack than what most of the Dolphin fanbase, and hack south Florida media are willing to give. But the reality is it doesn't matter if he gets it or not. Dolphin fans and Dolphin sportswriters will still have to deal with the most poorly run, and most clueless organization in sports... while Nick Saban continues winning championships. Dan Marino didn't last as long as Saban did... for a reason.
