How much more time? When do you say that it is a realistic expectation of the fan to expect a contender out of this team?

As one of the youngest teams in the league, MIA should be playing in January 2014. If not, then you and the echo chamber will get your wish. But what you and the echo chamber wanted, won't happen this year. Never was gonna happen, minus a complete melt down.

Like I've always said concerning this team, this year. ITs not as bad as some of YOU make them out to be, and not as good as some of YOU make them out to be.

Going into the season they were a 7-9/9-7 team. It is what it is. Some of us were realistic about the FO and the expectations for this season. Its the masses who only seen what they wanted to see. That in the end were disappointed.

Doesn't mean it is inaccurate either. It appears a lot of people have mixed emotions about Jeff Ireland. Most of the fans seem to hate him, but a lot of NFL people(both in and out of the game) and media members seem to like him and are saying he should return.
Define a lot of people and who are the credible ones.

Some of you people are just punks.

Blah blah blah. Tannerhell has not improved with ever game. Blah blah blah, it took Firelawn 12 years to draft a QB. Blah blah blah blah but he did this just barely in time to save his jerb. He had a bunch of years and seemed to make a bunch of weird selections under the old coach! Fireland! Ha ha!

Doesn't it seem remotely plausible that Ireland has made some selections based on his head coach's assessment of available talent?
I doubt this audience listens, but I am glad someone states the obvious. All GMs are significantly affected by the evaluations skills of the coaching staff. I imagine the reason Ireland went from being close to Sparano to cast him under the bus is his poor input and his poor coaching job.

Gil Brandt had good things to say about Jeff Ireland. Uh oh, this won't go over well with the pitchfork and torch crowd.

Seriously though, I agree with most of what he said there about the Dolphins, I do think things look bright going into the 2013 offseason. The team has a lot of weapons at its disposal to improve the team and I am excited to see what happens in free agency and the draft. Plus I really like Joe Philbin and most of the staff he put in place.
we say this every year and then we go ahead and draft eggnog. I like philbin and tanne but don't expect Ireland to do anything special.

Most people judge Ireland based on him leading us to 4 straight losing seasons more than asking idiotic unprofesional questions, hell if he built a winner I wouldnt care and it makes it worse that Bryant is better than the guy we drafted lol

lol Typical...throw out all these praises about Gil Brandt being better than the "other guys" just because he said some positive things about the Dolphins. If he had said something negative everyone on here would be ripping him to shreds and saying "what does he know?" and "who cares what he has to say?"

Brandt has just stated the obvious. The Fins have a good staff. I disagree about Ireland. He has done more harm than good since his arrival. Count me in the pitch fork group.

I get a kick out of all the people who defend Ireland and the moves made by this team. We should all sing the Dolphins praise no matter how idiotic their moves. We should sing the praises of a GM that has run the team into the ground. 6 wins - sign Jeff Ireland to a 20 year extension. Hell, make him the highest paid GM in the league. Jonathan Martin, John Jerry and Michael Egnew will all be 1st ballot hall of famers. Our pro bowl Punter will kick the ball out of the stadium tomorrow against the Bills, That's what the NFL is about in the 21st. century-----PUNTING. Now as we all know, this year we overachieved with 6 wins. Next year we'll aim for 3 wins, the year after that 4, then 5 wins. Jeff, great job this year in building this team. Steven Ross should retain him...we don't need Bill Polian....Look at the great job Jeff has done.....I'll take another year of this.
    Fire Jeff Ireland
