I know the last thing this forum needs right now is yet ANOTHER logo thread, but I really wanted to gauge the reaction of the logo and the best way to do that is with a poll. Please answer the poll question above.

Its terrible, looks like a really poor effort by whoever made it. I see no way that anyone in the Dolphins organization looked at this and thought "They nailed it"
I like it ok enough....but i prefer our old logo and uni's. And by old, i mean 70's and 80's
p.s. why does that Dolphin have no eyes? Is he ashamed of where we've gone since Shula was ousted?

I chose indifferent. It isn't a far stretch from the logo that already exists so I don't see the point.

You are welcome to your opinion, but can you explain your comment regarding "poor effort"? Is it just because its simple?

Logo design is very complicated. It involves many design choices. Just because it looks simple, it doesn't mean someone just slapped it together in 5 minutes and called it a day. Some of the simplest logos take months of additions/subtractions and changes to perfect. In fact, I believe the "leaked" logo was still not completed. It was probably a version from the intermediate, exploratory phase.
Consider one of the most iconic logos in history...

Its about as simple as it comes, but it took hundreds of drafts and iterations to probably arrive at this... It certainly wasn't a "poor effort", even though you could probably recreate it now in about 5 seconds...

Not a fan; wife thought it looked like a logo for Sea World. But I like the version the OP has as their avatar.

Dolphins are not a very masculine mascot to begin with, don't expect a logo of Jaws, expect Flipper
