I like the dolphin but not the sun. Old sun with a smaller version of the dolphin would be ok

But for selling shirts and hats to us, I think it is a huge failure. It is too wide if that makes sense. This whole discussion about having a manly logo is stupid. It sounds like something Raiders fans would discuss.

It is so predictably awful. That's the beauty of it. Unleash some young kids from a design company and they'll butcher anything. This generation doesn't know the first thing about classy and simple. It's got to be dark, overdone and cheap. At that point we've nailed it.

As I posted a couple of months ago, Bob Griese is now a shill company employee and Dan Marino not far removed from that. You can take their handicapping and toss it to the curb.

GulfCoast is exactly correct. The logo is so wide I wonder why they stopped there. Wrap it around the helmet and down the neck. My first thought every time I see the leaked version is a Big Six wheel in Las Vegas. Some know it as Wheel of Fortune. One of the biggest ripoff casino games. You spin a wheel and hope it lands within the spoke you picked. I never even noticed the spokes on our logo until this gargantuan version make them so obvious. Our dolphin extends from San Diego to Long Island. I want to grab his tail and give a big spin, a big counterclockwise spin, and take my chances.

Oh, I checked the Celtics logo history and the version I associate with them, the hooped one somewhat similar to our logo, was apparently not around when the Dolphin franchise began. It was not their official logo until the late '70s. Maybe they copied from us. Sure. Bottom line, they stayed true to their heritage with a friendly almost amusing logo. There's nothing more pathetic than peer pressure. Why be alone when I can be a clone, trembling all the way? Are they watching me? Do I look okay? That's apparently where we're headed if we think dark and aggressive is necessary.

I could care less what the logo is, if we are winning games. Even if we arent winning, its not due.to a logo... however i prefer the OP's version to the one on the first page if put to task to choose.

I forgot to mention that Buffalo is a good comparison. They ruined their logo decades ago, in some need to look tough. When I was a kid their logo always stood out, a basic buffalo on a white helmet. Tremendously classy and distinct. It made many lists of best logos. I couldn't stop staring at their helmets when we played them.

Then I remember whispers that it looked like an old buffalo, too slumped. Instead of merely addressing that aspect with a younger more sturdy buffalo, they somehow brainstormed a blue buffalo with severe sinus problems. At least I think that's what it is. Mucus streaming back into his chest and out the back end. Maybe it's worse than mucus. Perhaps a mixture. I have no idea. It looks ridiculous and their logo has deservedly dropped into also ran obscurity, as ours will if the new version is adopted.
