Companies aren't churches, smart guy. The supreme court just said so. A person can individually be opposed to it, but they can't force their views on their employees. That's freedom of religion. Well you missed my point “smart guy”. You were objecting to someone trying to force their personal beliefs on others but you are trying to force your personal beliefs on people who own companies.

If one side is able to argue from an idealistic point of view that guns can magically be uninvented (or criminals can magically be made to become law-abiding citizens) then why is the other side not allowed argue from the realistic point of view that doing things in a certain order (education then marriage then baby) generally makes for a better life for both the mother and child?

Bingo! If everyone waited until marriage to have sex, and if everyone only had sex with one person in their lives we’d have no AIDS epidemic, no STDs, and the number of abortions would reduce greatly. You know as well as I do that the Left would have a cow if we tried passing a “Premarital sex and divorce ban” in congress even though they try to use the same arguments to justify forms of gun legislation. They have no problems with banning other people’s rights but when it comes to their own…hands off!

The morning after pill suppresses ovulation. Only rarely does it affect implementation. People who call it an abortion pill are just misinformed. If you're against the morning after pill then you'd have to be against standard birth control.

Hey Jack I haven’t seen you around for a while, how have you been? I do not believe you are correct here though, suppressing ovulation takes far too long in order to work as an effective emergency contraceptive, rather a high dose of birth control is given in order to prevent implantation of a fertilized egg (I realize many people like to challenge this idea but this is still how the drug works according to the FDA). The only reason this is no longer considered to be an abortion is because a few years ago “pregnancy” was redefined in order to help the drug companies market their product.

I'm still here reading everything, just not posting as much (busy studying for my CPA tests). I remember reading that the morning after pill prevented implantation as much as standard birth control. In fact, many anti-inflammatory medications prevented implantation just as much as the morning after pill.
