If you're Ireland on the clock and you had to choose between DE Dion Jordan or CB Jonathan Banks, who are you selecting. Which is bigger need? Who makes bigger impact?
(Purely a hypothetical between these two players only)

I'm not sure Banks is good value where Miami would be selecting. Of those two, I like Jordan's length and athleticism, although many consider him a 3-4 OLB since he is more than a down lineman, dropping back, etc. and he is a bit light in the pants. Personally, I wish Miami stuck with the 3-4. I'd be happy with Jordan because I think he projects as a playmaker, which is something Miami obviously needs.
Well, to my eye Jordan looks like a potential elite superstar type. I think he could still fit in a 4-3 as a rush linebacker and probably a situational pass rusher as a rookie. Banks looks good to me, but not elite. He's been beaten quite a bit for a guy that's 1st round caliber, but he has played against some good competition. So if my evaluation is correct, I'd go Jordan. I know a lot will depend on free agency.
Jordan is my pick between the two.

Don't be surprised if we go WR in round 1. The biggest team need is on Offense.

Between those two, I would go Jordan based on the flexibility as a down lineman or playing outside line backer. However, CB is a bigger need that pass rusher at this point so Banks would be a good fit. Milliner would be great if he fell to our lap.
WR should be both picks in round 2, regardless of wh at we do in Free Agency
I don't really know if Jordan is going to boom or bust. On the plus side he has the potential to be something similar to Jason Taylor, and that would be an absolute steal for us and probably the top overall pick if we knew that's what we'd get. But I put him into the category with Mingo and Montgomery of kids who have drool-worthy physical ability but not dominating performances. IMHO, Jordan isn't as drool-worthy as the two LSU guys and in his defense he has somewhat produced. But, watching him always leaves you wondering why the athleticism doesn't have more impact in the game ... and those guys scare the heck out of me.
I definitely see the potential for an Aundray Bruce (for you old-schoolers out there) or Vernon Gholston (heh, that never gets old). Is he Aldon Smith or JPP? Is he Jason Taylor lite? I'm not sure, but my gut is telling me no. I'd be much happier with the pass rushers in this draft if all the top physical talents weren't outplayed by Damontre Moore.

Is there not a draft forum for this?
"It happens all the time," Taylor said. "It's not an exact science and personnel guys aren't the end-all, be-all. " Jason Taylor,2011

I like both but Jordan would be my pick. If Banks falls deep in the first I would trade up
