I was thinking that about an hour ago. Too bad he is a sophomore. A mock draft has him in the top 5 next year.

Not just speed. Total change of direction, great hands, could be a devastating slot rec.

He is fast. No question, but I think Oregon's system is so gimmicky. I am dying to see Chip Kelly come to the NFL. He will be eaten up.

If Kelly tries this **** in the NFL, just whack the ****ing crap out of his QB and water bug RB's. Bring it. I was hoping Buffalo would get this guy.

Yep. You are probably right. I just loath the Chip Kelly love we will get from the Adam Schefter's of the world for the next week.

there's no doubt it's gimmicky...but it would give some nfl dcs headaches while they figured it out...thomas in the top 5 at that size is a pump the brakes...he might be a situational player and specials guy at the next level...still that explosion and burst will translate...i'd say late round 1 someone pulls the trigger
hoops scoops...prospects mia should target top 4 rounds 2013 draft...

???? If Chip Kelly can come up with a system so radical, innovative and successful for the college game, do you really think that he couldn't adapt a system for the NFL? Who's to say whether his NFL system would look anything like what he's putting out in Oregon?

Every time somebody in football comes out and does something outside the box which is wildly successful, you get all these guys coming out with "if he tried that vs XXX, he'd be killed". Stick to the knitting and don't try anything other than what worked 30 years ago. It's that sort of group-think that has made Chip Kelly so successful in Oregon, Belichick in NE and countless players (RGIII anyone?) who play the game differently to the cut-out-and-keep template.

Chip Kelly deserves all the plaudits he gets. I for one would love to see him in the NFL, to see what he would cook up. I imagine he's smart enough to know what would and wouldn't work out of his college system.
