Tyler Eifert is an elite TE. Far better college prospect then Jimmy Graham and Rob Gronkowski.... before you grab your pitch forks remember that they have Drew Brees and Tom Brady throwing them the ball
Rob was a highly touted but his injury dropped his stock. A lot of TE's were better prospects then J.Graham and didn't turn out to be half as good as he is.....so I really don't get your point.

I'm not taking a TE 12 overall not when most good to great ones have been taken later and teams use 2/3 of them anyways. Outside of V.Davis name a 1st round TE that is a difference maker in the NFL today.

Pettigrew sucks bigtime, I've never seen a TE drop so many easy passes.
Gresham is a good TE but no real difference maker.
H.Miller is solid all around TE but was selected 30th, and does H.Miller scare you in games, no.
Dallas Clark was a beast but was also selected late (24th)
    J.Shockey
    D.Keller
    M.Lewis
    K.Winslow
    D.Graham
    B.Watson
    J.Stevens
No thanks to all these guys with our 1st round pick.

I'll gladly wait until the 2nd, 3rd or 4th round to select a TE.

I'll take a pass rusher or CB with our 1st thanks.

I would not pass on Star, Mingo, or Montgomery (I know CK isn't a huge fan) for Eifort.

I would love Eifert, but I think we could trade down eight spots and still get him no? That seems very high for Murray and Te'o as well. I like Te'o, but I don't think he's better than Willis who went #9. In fact, if I were a betting man, I'd say he makes it to #12. Isn't Murray more of a 2nd round prospect? A lot can change between now and the draft so he could move up, but that seems like a huge stretch right now.
Buffalo stated at the end of the season they will draft a QB first round... buffalo is very predictable with their first round choices... I simply have Murray rated higher than Wilson, Barkley, or Glennon... I had Murray going 8 no way he is better than tannehill

If Star Lotulelei is on the board at 12, I would run the slip up to the commish ASAP. He won't be, but I love that player.

I cannot recall a better TE coming out of the draft than Tyler Eifert that is why I have him our #1 pick I would try to trade down a few but would take him #12.. we did take a center #15 only two years ago...... The first round tight ends you mentioned were scrubs besides shockey or clark.... thats like saying don't take Andrew Luck #1 cus HOU took this guy David Carr.. and OAK took Jamarcus Russell... that argument is pointless... as you stated Gronk fell to the second because of injury so he could of been a first round..and you have mingo our first round pick? the guy can't even be a starter in a base defense yet he is not a good run defender so why waste a #1 on a situational pass rusher when we already have Vernon..... Eifert will be incredible watch

Hmmm..Let take a look at the last 6 QBs that were selected #1: Luck, Newton, Bradford, Stafford, Russell and Smith. Geno Smith is more value and a better NFL prospect than all of them except Luck. I disagree 100% with your opinion.

Mingo started 10 games this year the same us Montgomery & they rotated those other starts with another draftable DE Lavar Edwards. Eifort is not a top 20 pick IMO or 17 picks better than Ertz. He does nothing exceptionally better than Ertz. The value isn't there.
