Don't forget he locked Big Paul up for next to nothing last year. I know he franchised him the year before but nonetheless, he gets praise for that contract as well.

Good news, if Ireland ****s up both he and Philbin will be collecting unemployment next season. And then we get to start all ****ing over again.
$6 million a year is next to nothing?

How is it this forum considers Dansby hideously overpaid when he made $8 million this year but Soliai was paid "next to nothing" when he made $6 million?

I will remember you TeddSlimmJr and Spesh, after we win it all, I'll just sit back and laugh with fond memories of my superior football IQ.

[QUOTE=dahlmarino;1064552578]Why are they even bringing up Chad Johnson as a FA miss? His contract wasn't guaranteed and we didn't lose any cap room over him at all. Marshall wasn't playing poorly before the injury, either, and I'm not really sure Garrard cost us much of anything. This article doesn't exactly wreak of in-depth research.[/QUOTE

Well johnson was a free agent miss because he was to be a starter for us, definately not a hit. Marshall was not playing well Im not sure what games you were watching. As for Garrard he cost us a million dollar signing bonus.

I hate the hindsight know it alls, Gronk was passed on 41 times before being picked. So why is that only Irelands blunder?

All of Ireland's Free Agent "Failures" in 2012 were signed to one year deals, so it wasn't like he ever intended for them to be more than depth and compete for a roster spot. His one free agent addition that signed a multi-year deal was Richard Marshall and he ended up winning the starting cornerback job, before he went down with a season ending injury. I don't think his 2012 free agency pickups really should be considered a big failure, because for the most part the Dolphins weren't really active in free agency looking for starters.
Well active or not he failed to find a starting wr and just because marshall was named starter does not make him good.
