I want Tavon Austin AND Stedman Bailey

these guys are ballers, and will help Tannehill. Austin can assume a slash role, like Harvin, Cobb or even Sproles. He could be a receiving and running thread.

Move from 12 to about 18, pick up a 3rd.
Trade up to late 20s with late 2nd and 3rd.
Trade up into 2nd with a 3rd and 4th

# 18: elite pass rusher if available, or BPA
# 29: Tavon Austin
# 42: Marcus Trufant
# 60: Stedman Bailey
#82: I'd love a plug in OG with athleticism, or another DB or fast TE

Also sign Bowe to be the redzone jump ball type guy.

Tannehill's Targets:
1. Bowe
2. Hartline
3. Austin
4. Bailey
5. Bess
6. Matthews

He'll throw 4000+ yards no question, and with much more TDs given the play maker infusion.

Could even go crazy with the first rounder for:
TE1: Eiffert
TE2: Clay
TE3: egghead

From a "size" and "speed" stand-point I'm guessing Austin and Bailey are virtually they same. I'm also guessing Bailey is more of a complete receiver while Austin is sort of a specialist! So, when you talking about drafting both you have to consider our coaching staff and offensive philosophy. You mentioned in your post that we should have been using Reggie Bush this way? The fact that we really didn't tells me

1) We didn't really know how?
2) We didn't want toa alter our offense like that!

So with that I have to conclude they're more than likely are targeting "Bailey." If for some reason they're also targeting Austin I think it would essentially mean the release of D.Bess. Because, they are not drafting Austin to play Running Back and/or be the #1, #2 receiver to complement someone else! His likely going to be put in the slot!

While they might look the same they are COMPLETELY different in terms of skill seset first off speed is not even close, tavon might be the fastest/quickest player in the nation, he's not a great route runner he's used most for short quick passes. He is insanely dangerous on special teams.





stedman is a stronger bigger receiver who excels in body control and route running, his speed is nothing extraordinary by any means . He excels in both short and long balls , he is a serviceable return man also.



I would be happy with either even though I will hate if tavon goes to the afc east I think stedman in the 3rd might be better value if he lasts

all we need is greg jennings and stedman bailey IMO. Austin and Bailey are not the same receiver in my book. One is flash, the other is straight on WR who will run all the routes you need to and will get YAC. In fact, if he shows early, you could trade bess. Bess is like Long now, injuries toawards end of the year.

People getting greedy at WR. We just need two if Hartline resigned because Matthews is going to step it up this coming year. People just are not counting on that. But it will happen.

I agree with everyone above that they are completely different. I take it another step and add that Reggie is completely different from them both. He often gets put in that same category as Percy but they are completely different too.

Reggie's strength is explosiveness from his hips. Look at Arian Foster's running motion and Reggie's. Very similar. These guys are similar to Percy in a sense that they have faster foot speed.

This is not Madden. Hasn't the Ted Ginn disaster taught you anything? Small fast guys who don't run real routes in college are a recipe for disaster. You wanna take a flyer on one guy in the 3rd round , fine. But your scenario is closer to a video game than reality

bailey is more realistic IMO. i think someone at the end of the 1st round will take Austin and add them to their playoff ready roster and use him as an extra toy. We are not at that point yet

Good analysis.........to maximize a multi-talent like Austin on the next level you need a creative hc/oc willing to change somwhat their offensive plan (like BB)
Not sure we have that here. So I would consider Bailey first for our needs........seriiously doubt that they both end up on the same team tho
