I can speak for Bronco fans. Not a damned one has said they want Tebow back after that playoff loss.

Forgive my spelling. This was sent from my phone.
Yeah, it is pretty much a no brainer.

Seeing as how NE went to the Super Bowl the year after the Jets beat them in the playoffs (while the Jets went 8-8), and have a good shot at going back again (while the Jets went 6-10), that one is pretty much a no brainer as well.

Playoff wins can be just as skewed as stats and rankings, yet that is the only thing you go by to determine if a team is one of the best or not. Other things need to be considered. Different teams face different competition in the playoffs. Some teams might face easier competition and get a win in a WC round while a better team faces tougher competition and loses.

The only thing that would make me overlook a mediocre regular season record is if that team goes all the way and wins the Super Bowl. The Giants are the only team in the history of the NFL to win the Super Bowl with a 9-7 regular season record. There is a reason why it has only happened once in 47 years.

Please go ahead and ask Bronco fans if they want Tebow (and the 2011 team that won a playoff game) or Manning (and the 2012 team that didn't win a playoff game).

It will be a landslide. Ask NE fans if they would prefer to have the Jets 09 / 10 roster that won 4 playoff games over their 09 / 10 roster that didn't win a playoff game.
a team can win a game, maybe have one fluke run but 2 playoff wins in 2 straight postseasons? all 4 on the road? beating the hottest teams and SB faves in the AFC each year in the div rd? sorry, that's not a fluke. The dolphins div title in 2008 was a fluke.

That has nothing to do w/ 2009 and 2010 though. NE was a better team in 2010, they may have won the SB. each time they miss it's one more year off of Brady's career and one year closer to coming back to the pack.

Although sometimes it's hard to tell but here obviously junc was playing dumb. There was a reason he didn't demonstrate the courage of what now has turned out to be his empty convictions

No. Not elite. The Jets played 54 games between 2009-2011. They won 32 and lost 22. How the hell does that qualify for elite?

Junc likes to ignore the 7 losses in the 2009 regular season and the 8 losses in the 2011 regular season. He also likes to ignore the final losses in 2009 and 2010. I am not under the delusion that the performance in the regular season doesn't count. Give the credit for good runs in the playoffs in 2009 and 2010 but that doesn't change the fact that they were a very average team for the entire 2009 regular season and below average in 2011.

If they had used the 2009-2010 seasons to create a foundation for championships (or even continued success), it would be a different conversation. People would look at those seasons as the start of something. Now they are just an aberration.

    postseason wins 2009-2012:

    Baltimore 6
    Green Bay 5
    NY Jets 4

3rd most playoff wins, 2nd most in AFC.

    title game apps:

tied for NFL lead w/ Bal & NE, no NFC team has 2.

    playoff wins through 2011:

MOST playoff wins in NFL(tied), most in AFC and most title game apps in NFL

    That's elite
