Brian Gaine to Interview for Jets GM Job this Week

just saw it on twitter per Ben Volin ... damn Jets always trying to pick from our team. most times i don't care when they do it because most times it ends up being a scrub, but this time i'm bothered because Gaine seems like he has a real bright future as an NFL GM

    THOUGHTS?

I'd rather have them take Ireland.

In an ideal world Gaine gets the Dolphins GM job this time next year. I hope the Jets dont get him.

My hope is we can keep him but if he does leave I wish it wouldn't be to a divisional rival.

Only plus i can see is it will take whoever their new GM is years to turn that franchise around.

Old players, $19 million over the cap, horrific quarterback situation with no readily available fixes...That team is in bad shape. If Gaine grabs the job, he will have his work cut out for him.

I will remember you TeddSlimmJr and Spesh, after we win it all, I'll just sit back and laugh with fond memories of my superior football IQ.

Gaine is a rising star. However, that job is filled with land minds. Not sure if I would want it. It is an opportunity, but that is not a good job.

This is another Volin Tweet: Gaine played for Kirk Ferentz at Maine, and Philbin coached with him at Iowa. They get along well and think similarly

I have said this since Joe was hired. Gaine is vital to keep on.

Funny how Junc always says the Dolphins fans are always jealous of the jets, jets are the better oganization, have the better future, yet they hired Sparano and fired him, signed Gates and Hilliard, took JT for a year, tried to sign Henne and are now looking to use the Phins to try and find a GM, guess Phins cant be that awful right?

I mean only the Jets would hire an outside firm and pay them $200,000 to find them their new GM candidates, talk about inept, oh and one of the GM candidates they were interested in, chose the Jaguars job over the Jets, chose the Jags job with a former Dolphin QB over the Jets and their set of trash QBs

I still think Ross should have canned Ireland and elevated Gaine. It would have given new life to the FO and face to the team.
