Sanchez might have won some games in the past but it's his current performance over the past 2 seasons, where he's led the NFL in turnovers from the QB position, that seems to indicate he's regressed. I've never been sold on Sanchez as a STARTER capable of playing consistently well, he is what he is and couple that with a ridiculous contract, you see why Rex Ryan is on thin ice with Woody Johnson. The Jets spent money like they were just a few players away from winning it all, when in fact they have imploded. I'd hate to see Gaine take the Jets job and fail, it's a terrible position and at least a 2 yrs job to clear out the cap situation, before any possible chance to win again.

It's never a bad thing to get your name out there, hone your skills, get feedback on your experience etc by interviewing. I don't know much about Brian so can't really say whether it would be our loss or not. However, it is likely that from where he's sitting up close in the division, he understands what a mess Wrecks is, how disfunctional the owner is in forcing Tebow on the team for backpage headlines and in a pursuit to foist overpriced PSLs, and the cap difficulties the team allegedly is in. From a career standpoint, while you can't beat hands on experience, sometimes when there are so few jobs in your industry, it's better to bide your time, continue to build your reputation (or perception of such) than to throw yourself into the fire, already with 1 testicle removed (being stuck with Blutto), running the risk of ending up another sacrificial lamb in a dysfunctional, classless organization. Hopefully cooler heads than his agent who is fee-driven will reinforce this notion.

Jets are a mess....basically what I've been hearing on the radio up here in jersey is whoever steps in there as gm is in a bad situation with their cap space and they don't get to pick their own coach. Apparently Rex Ryan's gonna have a say/opinion on the gm decision according to francesas rant yesterday.

Armando Salguero just wrote on twitter that Gaine didn't want to pay Cam Wake what the Dolphins were offering and was thankfully overruled. Salguero hints that Gaine is a moron.
