We are currently negotiating with our own players as we speak, however it is the beginning stages. Here are my estimates

    Resign:
    Hartline - 4 yrs $6MM per yr
Starks - 3 yrs $6MM per yr (He is 29 yrs old)
    C. Clemons - 2 yrs $3MM per yr

I would offer J. Long 3 yrs at $8MM per yr MAX on both length and amount per yr and S. Smith 3 yrs at $6MM MAX.

    Sign:
    A. Levitre - 4 yrs at $7.5MM per yr
    M. Bennett - 3 yrs at $4MM per yr
    D. Cox - 4 yrs at $5MM per yr
    C. Williams (CB) - 3 yrs at $3MM per yr

I know we don't address WR or DE which are huge holes, but I'd rather spread the money out rather than tie a huge amount up in one player. Basically portfolio diversification. Then use the draft to invest in stocks, ie playmakers at WR, DE, CB and TE.

I will give Phillbin and his stuff the benefit of the doubt to hopefully overrule Ireland and pick his players for his system.

CRICKETS! Every year with Ireland we've built anticipation for that huge impact FA. Every year we've let the first wave go by. Then the second wave passes us. Then we start scrambling for the 3rd tier players available. I hope I am wrong, but I can't see Ireland being overly aggressive. I've heard Ross say before that money is not a factor. Hopefully, this year we truly have the cap space and have to use it.

I would say sign both Wallace and Jennings, resign hartline and you have a pretty good receiving corp.

Do you think neither of these guys will test the market and make teams compete for their services? I personally think there is an average chance of landing one guy, but both guys? really? Not unless we bid so high that we scare off all the other teams.

I agree with your thoughts, but I would prefer that we get one experienced speed wide reciever. If we depend on the draft only, 2013 will be another losing season with the young guys getting their experience, confidence and timing down. I think we need to double dip the wide reciever and corner back positions.

If Pittsburgh re-signs or tags Miller, than I expect Wallace and maybe Jared Cook.
If Pittsburgh decides to keep Wallace instead then I expect Jennings and Miller or Cook.
