FA Now That Green Bay's Season Is Over...

...how quickly could we sign Greg Jennings? Is there a stipulation that the entire NFL year be completed (a la Super Bowl) or would he be 'available' right now? In other words...what would keep all interested parties from pulling the trigger right now? Is there an established free agent period starting on a certain date (and if so, when is that)?

If we do attempt to sign him, what kind of offer should we present him, and what kind of offer would he be looking for?

I guess I just want to be educated on the process in case he is one of our targets...

    Thanks!!!

Free agency begins in March so I'd assume then. Contract? I want Wallace or Bowe over Jennings myself and have no clue what contract he deserves.

I think Jennings is happening but want to pick up Wallace or bowe along with him. And then draft Allen. Go into training camp and see what happens from there. If we have to drop bess or whoever that just means we are getting better

Waiting on the Fins and their fans to realize you need to score points to win the games. Draft OFFENSE not defense.

More like to see Findley in a Fins uniforms then Jennings. Aging, injuried sub 6ft WR's just don't excite me in this offense.

    More likely? Or your preference?

Judging by Philbin's preference for high character men, why would you think Finley has a snowball's chance in hell of signing here? I'm betting if he gets cut, he won't even visit Miami. On the other hand, Jennings has never been in trouble, ever. By all accounts, he is a great teammate, and he has a history with Philbin. Aged? He is a few months older than Bowe. Oft-injured? This is the first season he has missed any games. As for his height, I don't see how that's relevant considering he thrived in Green Bay's offense, which was Philbin's offense...

If I could take your pain and frame it, and hang it on my wall,
maybe you would never have to hurt again...

Philbin actually has a good relationship with Finley.

I'm sure he does. But Philbin wasn't making any of the personnel decisions with Green Bay. I think he would have a hard time justifying shipping out Marshall just to bring in someone with a similar, albeit less violent, personality. I just don't see it. I could see the Jets' TE being brought in. For all the **** that those douchebags talked, we never heard a thing from Keller. He looks like he could a Philbin guy...
