Go on record. What's most important?

Regardless of pretty much anything - IN YOUR OPINION, what direction is MOST important (VITAL) to the success of the Miami Dolphins next year?

    IMO, it's WR hands down.

Im torn here Bump. I want to agree with you and say WR, but I also think we need another beast of a pass rusher to go with Wake.

We can certainly use talent in just about all those spots, but the WR corps is so bare, I can't really see the case for anything else. Sure, we could use a seam threat TE, but Fasano is a better TE than anyone on our WR corps except Hartline and possibly Bess. We need a 2nd pass rusher for sure, but our sack total shows that it's not absolutely critical right now. WR talent is so thin that it's almost like asking a LT to block Julius Peppers with only one arm ... oh, wait, sorry.

Way too many holes to think one player at a specific position will make much of a difference. we need 3 or 4 really good players at WR, CB, TE, DE, and OL in that order. We also need to be thinking about upgrading line backer as that will be a big hole next offseason. Upgrades would be nice at RB and safety too. Other than that we're in pretty good shape....

Get us a dependable kicker and we're 9-7 last year...minimum.

WR without a doubt. even with a holes in the secondary, the defense still finished 6th in scoring defense

Wideout is the only answer. Not a single one of our WRs has a unique skill set, no defender fears them, and our 3rd most productive receiver had eleven catches. That is beyond unacceptable.

Wideout; this team is only going to go as far next year (and all subsequent years) as Ryan Tannehill will take us. And in order for him to even have the opportunity to succeed, he has to actually have some competent pieces around him, most notably, Wide Receivers who can create separation and get into the painted grass.

Define "success". Going to the superbowl? Entering the playoffs? Having a winning season? Tannehill showing further growth?

I believe the biggest hole on our team is pass rusher. The days of getting by with only 1 are done. See whats happened to the Packers in the playoffs the last 2 years. As well, good pass rushers are a rarity in free agency, mostly its flawed or old players that end up hitting it. Granted, a Peppers or Mario Williams will sometimes end up there, but its usually due to odd circumstances.

All that said, i voted wideout. With our schedule i dont see us making the playoffs. I wouldnt hate a winning season and continued growth from Tannehill. A playmaker at wideout would do wonders for our 2nd year quarterback. And we have proven to have a stout defense(though not dominate) without a second pass rusher. In that light, wideout is the most important piece to achieving success next season.

By the way, who was the joker who voted for offensive lineman? You on here Ireland?!?!?!?

I will remember you TeddSlimmJr and Spesh, after we win it all, I'll just sit back and laugh with fond memories of my superior football IQ.
