Bennett Twofer?

Two of our likely needs are TE and DE. The Bennett brothers - TE Martellus of the Giants (90 rec, 626yds, 5TDs) and DE Michael of TB (34 tackles, 9 sacks, 2 passes defl.) are both Free Agents. Martellus is on record saying he'd like to stay in the Giants, but would really love to play on the same team with his brother. Given how stacked NYG are in the d-line, I'm not sure that was a stunt on behalf of the FO to encourage Michael up to join him. I doubt Michael would get the snaps he wants with the Giants.

If they really want to play together, is there a deal to be done with them? No talks have started yet with Martellus and the Giants. Michael Bennett wouldn't come cheap, but he's proven as a 4-3 DE.

How many teams out there are looking for big upgrades at both TE and DE and have the cap space to do it?

Its going to boil down to money and how much each will cost. In this day and age, it is just about impossible to be playing on the same team as a relative. Only one that I know of is the NHL Sedin twins. I just can't see Bennett (TE) coming here if Finley is released from GB

I know Bennett had a decent year in NY but I've honestly never really been a big fan of his, and I can't say I know too much about his brother.

Interesting thought. I'd be very keen on Bennet the TE and pair him with Erts with the 2a pick. But I'd rather go with a younger DE opposite Wake who is now 30.
