No idea, and doesn't really matter. whatever he said before free agency, and what he did during free agency pretty much paint a picture of... Pay me a bunch of money, or i'm staying in Indy. no one made 10m a year offer in those 3 hours so he signed a contract that was already on the table. Maybe Indy told him they were willing to move on and the contract they offered him was time dependent. maybe he had 4 hours to sign it and then they were moving on?
Its all moot anyway we signed a lifetime scrub and they signed a pro bowl receiver.
