Just realized that if the Ravens lose today, Flacco will join the elite club of losing back to back championship games.

-Dan MarinoI just try to be myself, whatever that is. I don't think about how I'll be remembered. I just want to be consistent over a long period of time. That's what the great players do.
Does anyone else just really feel bad for Tony Gonzalez?
Once Dmac is drafted a Dmac Jersey will spontaneously materialize in the closet of each and every Dolfan...
...and not that replica crap either...
I felt worse for JT and he was playing on the jets.

“I’m still a Dolphin at heart,” Marino said. “I’m excited about South Florida getting a team back that they’re going to be very proud of and a team that, in my mind, is going to have a chance to make the playoffs.”
I'm sure anyone would tell you that the Dolphins haven't accomplished a tenth of what he has in the time he's been in the league. I would kill for a ****ty second half in a championship game at this point, because at least it's a game we haven't even seen since 1992. 1992. Do you remember what you were doing in 1992? I sure don't. And some here have the audacity to knock Ryan's accomplishments out of pure bitterness of being 100% dead Long...I mean Wrong.

Of all the back and forth over Jake Long and Matt Ryan, that's by far the funniest line.

That's great and all, but as I said in another post, no one is going to remember any of what Jake Long and the Dolphins or Matt Ryan and the Falcons did years from now if neither team wins a Super Bowl. As far as bitterness, there's no bitterness, we're just pointing out Matt Ryan's lack of postseason success is all. If Matt does end up leading his Falcons to the Lombardi Trophy in the next few years, I'll be the first to give him props. Until then, he'll be known as a QB who can't get it done in the big games.

IMO, considering the offensive goose egg Matty pitched in last season's playoff, even before this season's meltdowns... vs Flacco's several divisional championships, playoffs every season and his then 6-4 vs 0-3 Instant Death Game performances, last year if not before then, the discussion should have organically shifted to: "should we have traded down, loaded up -or grabbed Long and traded up ahead of the Ravens to snare Flacco?"
Since with Ryan vs Long, Ryan @1 vs Flacco @18 both involve the luxury of hindsight, knowing what we know now about rising to the occasion with his back to the wall, out-dueling Peyton and Brady two weeks running, a Lee Evans screwup on a perfectly thrown endzone pass preventing his team from a repeat SB appearance , at this point we could as easily debate whether we should have not screwed around and grabbed Flacco @#1.
