The problem with Ireland in a press conference is that he has been taught by his mentor that if you have to speak to the press you lie about everything. I wonder how much of what people are hearing that they like is nothing but Ireland blowing smoke out of his a..?

The one thing that I took out of it was that he says that they're looking for more playmakers (obviously) but also praised Egnew and Fasano which means the TE position will likely stay the same. I think that's a bit of a headscratcher because, while I do like Fasano, we need to get more athletic there.
Exactly! Somebody else see's the B.S. here. Egnew and Fasano are nice backups, but if you want a play-making TE, neither of these two should be in that sentence. Jeff always seems to say the nice "front-office" speak, but when crunch time happens in F/A or the draft, what happens? The fact that he acknowleges we need a LOT to get to that next level says a lot of how he's done tha last few years.

    I'm now expecting BIG things.

Hell I'm pretty confident there is gonna be a trade that involves a damn good player, and Miami will be huge players in it. CK hinted at it and it makes alot of sense.
Sorry I missed the news. What trade are you referring to?

Well I for one am tired of looking forward to the drafts like its one big Christmas present for us phins. Its time we look at the playoffs and possibly the superbowls as the exciting times for us. Getting tired of waiting around for that!

Join the CROWD. Ireland said absolutely nothing that every GM would say. Bottom line is that he needs to get LUCKY this off season.

Since when does Ireland know how to draft play makers?

Last time he really tried bringing in a playmaker it was Clyde gates. A 26 year old midget with a few years football experience.

First time in a long time that I liked anything Ireland had to say. This offseason will be a huge part of how the Fins will perform over the next 5-7 years. He states we need a LOT of help, playmakers....makes me think he really gets it. I wanted him gone, but did not get my wish. I'd be thrilled to eat all my negative words if he nails this offseason.

Come on Jeff, it's your big chance at redemption. Don't F it up!
