    Kiper’s grade: B-

Thoughts: I thought this grade was low. Miami got a lot of production from its rookie class, and it was a major reason the Dolphins were in the wild-card hunt in the final month of the season. Tannehill threw for 3,294 yards and has a chance to be the long-term solution. Martin started all 16 games at both right tackle and left tackle, and Vernon flashed multiple times as a backup defensive end and special teamer. Even Miller rushed for 250 yards and averaged 4.9 yards per carry. Miller appears ready for an increased role next season.

For comparison, he gave them a "C" grade in April.

He forgot to mention that Jeff Ireland has a high regard for Michael Egnew

Our braintrust has great faith in the patchability of 26 year old venues, and Michael Egnew, who is a mere 23. We can throw hundreds of millions toward him every few years.

When talking about the past draft, I am not sure why some people always choose to immediately focus on Egnew. Tannehill and Martin are already starters. Miller contributed and might be a starter in 2013 and Vernon made an impact. Even Matthews and Randall contributed. Yet some only want to concentrate on the one who did not play to make a case that it was a "bad" draft. Egnew, the 4th pick of the Dolphins draft does not define the entire draft.

It was a good draft for the Dolphins, despite the early outlook on Egnew.

I think the draft was good. We had rookies playing and growing. B is solid grade. Heres to a awesome draft and great offseason.

How is it that the Jets got a "C"? They're draft was awful.
