Talk is just that, talk. Time to back up your big works Jeffy. You need to deliver this year or Ross will deliver a pink slip to you

Only the Dolphins would have a Chicago Bears Ballboy as their GM
Inexcusable that he thought Marshall's replacement was on the squad already. Every Fin fan knew better. Hey Ross, save you money and hire us, if this is really true. I think he's just posturing and bigupping his receivers.

A lot of what Ireland says is smoke and mirrors. He's not going to say what his plan is, and he's not going to say what he didn't like last year because it will reveal their plan. I really don't believe he was actually happy with this WR core in Training Camp.

Ireland is jsut trying to throw a positive spin on things what else would you expect him to do. Last year was his kick off with Ryann T. and Philbin and it went much better than I anticipated lets just hope it keeps going that way. I am sure he is hoping and working on this year to be as good or better than last year and lets sure hope so too

Jeff Ireland says he "has a lot of fans"

Perfect, perfect emoticon.
Only real revelatory thing is that they did try to upgrade their WR corps but failed to get some of the people they pursued. At least they tried and in the muck of PR speak some truth popped out.

Ireland says he accepts the blame for four losing seasons, says Ross has been very patient and now has a lot of confidence in his staff, philbin and his staff

At least Ireland understands the rarity of the patience that's been afforded him with the four losing seasons. I'm sure he's just blowing smoke when he implies Bess/Hartline can fill the role of number one receivers. As much as I like them, they can't. That's not their role. I hope he doesn't really believe that because he did make a mistake this past season by not providing Tannehill with better receiving weapons. He sure as hell better have learned from that mistake.

What playmakers already the roster?

Was this with Joe Rose? Rose rips Egnew practically every day, and bemoans that TY Hilton wasn't selected there.
Don't believe everything Ireland says. He is sometimes being politically correct. He complimented Gibril Wilson after a horrendous season during his annual Senior Bowl interview stage, and then cut him weeks later. I doubt the Dolphins are relying on Egnew for anything. I heard somewhere that management went apeship about the player who called him a p_ _ _y. Neverthless, that statement says alot. The kid seems to lack the right build, physical tougness, mental acuity, and mental toughness to get it done. We all hope we are wrong on that, but let's be real.
Only thing I take away from this is the man finally owns up to taking responsibility for this team. He says I am the man right in the beginning of the interview. If he gets us a win in the playoffs I'll give him credit if he gets us another 7-9 I do not forsee anyone other than the most optimistic homer wanting him back again.
